This code is alpha. Be very cautious about where you use it. The code encrypts everything it backs up. The code decrypts everything it restores. We recommend first applying only the backup patch first to convince yourself that the code is indeed encrypting your data. Then do a backup, followed by a restore. See what you get. It won't be readable. Hmmm, you could backup your restore, then restore it again. You should then have your original files back... Fun, but not very effective. We then recommend applying the restore patch and rebuilding Bacula and installing it. Things we have not tested: - compression - spare files - symlinks - hardlinks - Windows clients - verify jobs We welcome help in performing these tests. Feedback will be aprpeciated. As are patches. Our goal is to work out the bugs regarding where and how we need to encrypt and decrypt. Once we have gained that knowledge, we will move on to more sophisticated encryption methods. Thank you.
